Beyonce: Thanksgiving Special Ratings




beyonce-abc NBC’s morning broadcast of the “Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade” delivered the highest ratings for that program in three years, according to preliminary overnight figures. Although Nielsen’s final audience figures were unavailable on Friday, NBC estimated that more than 45 million viewers tuned in for at least some portion of the broadcast. In prime time a new installment of CBS’s “Survivor: Samoa” earned the night’s largest audience with 10 million viewers. Fox was second with the 2006 movie “Night at the Museum” (6.6 million). ABC ranked third with “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” (6.4 million), followed by specials featuring performances by Beyoncé (5.1 million) and Paul McCartney (4.7 million). NBC was fourth with a repeat of “The Office” (2.8 million), followed by a news special, “People of the Year” (5.2 million) and “The Jay Leno Show”(5 million).
